Today’s Vehicle: Toyota 90 Series Voxy
The vehicle brought to us this time was Toyota’s popular minivan, the 90 Series Voxy.
Introduced in 2022, the current-generation 90 Series Voxy has evolved significantly from its predecessor. With its stylish design, comprehensive safety systems, and comfortable equipment, it is especially popular among families.
Its spacious interior and excellent practicality make it a reliable choice for families with children and those who enjoy outdoor activities. It is also a popular model frequently seen on the road.
The customer had originally booked a “Standard Car Wash.” However, as we continued the consultation, several serious concerns became apparent.
These were stubborn mineral scale on the rear and side windows, together with paint damage on the hood caused by bird droppings😢
【Before Installation】Carefully Discussing the Customer’s Concerns
The main concerns were bird-dropping stains on the hood and mineral deposits on the rear and side windows.
When we inspected the vehicle, the rear and side glass surfaces were heavily covered with white, scale-like contamination.
Mineral scale is formed when minerals such as calcium and magnesium contained in rainwater or tap water crystallize on the glass surface. It is also formally known as “scale” or “ion deposits.”
Once these deposits form, they cannot be removed through ordinary washing. Over time, the layers become thicker and significantly reduce the transparency of the glass.
The rear and side windows are especially important because they directly affect rearward visibility and safety checks when changing lanes. Poor visibility is a serious issue that can increase the risk of an accident.
“I tried several different cleaning products myself, but nothing removed it at all...”
The customer had clearly been struggling with the problem for some time.
Bird-Dropping Damage on the Hood
Another serious concern was paint damage caused by bird droppings on the hood.
“I noticed bird droppings on the hood and rinsed them off straight away, but... the marks still remained.”
Bird droppings are far more troublesome than they may appear. They can contain strongly acidic or alkaline substances that react chemically with the paintwork and cause etching.
Under intense sunlight, the combination of heat and the chemicals within bird droppings can cause even more serious damage to the paint surface. The stronger the sunlight, the greater the potential damage.
This Voxy had several stain-like marks remaining on the hood. Although the customer had rinsed away the contamination as soon as they noticed it, damage had unfortunately already remained on the paint surface.
“I was worried that if I left it like this, it would continue getting worse...”
We completely understood the customer’s concern.
Recommending the Most Suitable Plan
After listening carefully and inspecting the vehicle in detail, we recommended the following service plan.

Step 1: Preparing the Surface with a Pure-Water Hand Wash
We begin by washing the entire vehicle by hand with pure water to prepare the surface.
Pure water is highly purified water from which almost all the minerals found in tap water have been removed. When a vehicle is washed with ordinary tap water, minerals can remain behind as the water dries, creating new water spots. With pure water, there is no such concern.
Our staff carefully wash the vehicle by hand, one panel at a time. Surface contamination, sand, dust, and oily residue from exhaust gases are removed gently but thoroughly.
We also pay close attention to detailed areas such as around the door handles, the bases of the side mirrors, and the gaps in the wheels🧽
Step 2: Removing Mineral Scale from the Rear and Side Glass Through Polishing
Once the preparation was complete, we moved on to the main process: polishing away the mineral scale from the rear and side windows.
The rear and side glass of this Voxy had extremely stubborn mineral deposits. Removing them required dedicated polishing products and specialist techniques.
Mineral Scale Removal Process
Application of a Dedicated Chemical
First, we applied a dedicated mineral scale remover across the entire glass surface. The chemical softened the mineral deposits, making them easier to remove.
Careful Polishing
Using specialized pads and polishing compounds, we carefully polished the glass surface.
The key points during this process are pressure control and consistency. Applying too much force can scratch the glass, while uneven polishing can lead to an unattractive finish.
Our professional technicians polished the glass carefully and evenly using the appropriate level of pressure.
Final Cleaning
After polishing, we thoroughly removed all remaining compound and cleaned the glass until it was sparkling clear.
At this stage, the glass that had previously appeared heavily clouded became dramatically clearer!
The customer also inspected the progress and reacted with surprise, saying, “It looks completely different!”✨
Step 3: Preventing Future Contamination with a Water-Repellent Glass Treatment
There would be little benefit in restoring the glass only for it to become dirty again. This is why the water-repellent treatment is so important.
By applying a dedicated water-repellent coating for automotive glass, we create a thin hydrophobic layer across the surface.
Benefits of the Water-Repellent Treatment
🔹 Clearer Visibility in Rain
Even during rainfall, water forms rounded droplets and rolls away, helping maintain clear visibility. At higher speeds, airflow alone can cause the droplets to blow off the glass.

The water-repellent layer makes it more difficult for new mineral scale and other contamination to bond to the glass.
🔹 Easier Maintenance
Even when contamination does appear, it can be removed more easily, making everyday maintenance surprisingly simple💧
Step 4: Removing Bird-Dropping Damage Through Hood Polishing
Next, we addressed the damage left on the hood by bird droppings.
Bird-dropping damage can leave stain-like etching on the paint surface. Proper polishing is required to remove it.
Hood Polishing Process
Identifying the Damaged Areas
First, we illuminated the surface with a dedicated light to determine how deeply the damage had affected the paintwork.
Progressive Polishing
We began with a coarser polishing compound and gradually moved to finer products, removing the damage while smoothing the paint surface.
This was the most technically demanding stage of the process. Removing too much material can make the paint unnecessarily thin, while insufficient correction will leave the damage behind.
Using extensive experience and proven expertise, our staff carried out the most appropriate level of polishing🔧
Finishing Polish
We completed the process with an ultra-fine polishing compound, refining the surface until it became smooth and glossy.
On this Voxy, the bird-dropping marks that had caused so much concern were successfully removed!
Step 5: Protecting the Surface with GARACORT BASE Coating
Finally, we applied GARACORT BASE coating to protect the paintwork restored through polishing.

本日の施工車両：トヨタ 90系ヴォクシー
今回ご来店いただいたのは、トヨタの人気ミニバン「90系ヴォクシー」です。
2022年に登場した現行モデルの90系ヴォクシーは、先代から大きく進化したスタイリッシュなデザインと、充実した安全装備・快適装備で、ファミリー層を中心に絶大な人気を誇るモデルですよね。
広々とした室内空間と使い勝手の良さで、お子様のいるご家庭やアウトドアを楽しむ方々の強い味方。街中でもよく見かける人気車種です。
当初は「スタンダード洗車」でのご予約でしたが、カウンセリングを進める中でお客様の深刻なお悩みが明らかになりました。
それが、リアサイドガラスの頑固なウロコとボンネットについてしまった鳥フンによる塗装へのダメージでした 😢
【施工前】お客様のお悩みをじっくりヒアリング
ボンネットの鳥糞しみ、リアサイドガラスのカルキ跡問題でした。実際に車を拝見すると、リアとサイドのガラスに、びっしりと白いウロコ状の汚れが付着していました。
ウロコとは、雨水や水道水に含まれるミネラル分（カルシウムやマグネシウム）がガラス表面で結晶化したもの。正式には「スケール」や「イオンデポジット」と呼ばれます。
一度できてしまうと通常の洗車では全く落ちず、時間が経つほど層が厚くなり、ガラスの透明度を著しく低下させます。
特にリアガラスやサイドガラスは、運転中の後方確認や車線変更時の安全確認に直結する重要な部分。視界不良は事故リスクを高める深刻な問題です。
「自分で色々な洗剤を試してみたんですが、全然落ちなくて…」
お客様もかなり悩まれていたようです。
ボンネットの鳥フンダメージ
もう一つの深刻な問題が、ボンネットについた鳥フンによる塗装へのダメージでした。
「気づいたらボンネットに鳥フンがついていて、すぐに洗い流したんですが…跡が残ってしまって」
鳥フンは見た目以上に厄介な存在です。強い酸性やアルカリ性の成分を含んでおり、塗装面に付着すると化学反応を起こして塗装を侵食してしまいます。
さらに、炎天下では鳥フンの成分と熱が相まって、塗装面に深刻なダメージを与えることも。強烈な日差しの下では、鳥フンのダメージはより深刻になります。
今回のヴォクシーも、ボンネット上に数カ所、シミのような跡が残っていました。お客様が気づいてすぐに洗い流したとのことでしたが、残念ながら塗装表面には既にダメージが残っていました。
「このまま放置したら、どんどん悪化するんじゃないかと心配で…」
お客様の不安なお気持ち、よくわかります。

本次施工车辆：丰田90系Voxy
本次到店的车辆，是丰田旗下热门MPV“90系Voxy”。
现款90系Voxy于2022年推出，在设计方面相比上一代实现了大幅进化，同时配备丰富的安全系统及舒适配置，在家庭用户中拥有极高人气。
宽敞的车内空间及出色实用性，使其成为有孩子家庭及喜爱户外活动车主的可靠伙伴，也是街道上经常能够看到的热门车型。
客户最初预约的是“标准洗车”，不过随着沟通不断深入，我们发现客户还面临着几个严重烦恼。
分别是后部及侧面车窗上顽固的水垢，以及发动机盖因鸟粪造成的车漆损伤😢
【施工前】认真了解客户的烦恼
客户主要面临的问题，是发动机盖上的鸟粪痕迹，以及后部和侧面玻璃上的矿物质水垢。
实际检查车辆后可以看到，后部及侧面玻璃上牢固附着了大量白色鳞片状污渍。
所谓水垢，是雨水或自来水中所含的钙、镁等矿物质，在玻璃表面结晶后形成的沉积物。正式名称也称为“水垢”或“离子沉积物”。
一旦形成，普通洗车完全无法清除。随着时间经过，沉积层会越来越厚，并严重降低玻璃透明度。
特别是后挡风玻璃及侧窗，直接关系到驾驶中的后方确认及变道安全。视野不良会提高事故风险，是一个十分严重的问题。
“我自己试过各种清洁剂，但完全清除不掉……”
客户似乎已经为这个问题烦恼了很长时间。
发动机盖上的鸟粪损伤
另一个严重问题，是发动机盖受到鸟粪影响后产生的车漆损伤。
“发现发动机盖上有鸟粪后，我马上冲洗掉了，不过……还是留下了痕迹。”
鸟粪比外观看起来更加麻烦。它可能含有强酸性或强碱性成分，附着在车漆表面后会发生化学反应，并对车漆造成腐蚀。
特别是在烈日下，鸟粪中的成分与高温共同作用，可能对车漆表面造成更加严重的损伤。阳光越强烈，鸟粪造成的影响也越严重。
本次Voxy的发动机盖上，也残留了数处类似污渍的痕迹。虽然客户发现后已经立即冲洗，但遗憾的是，车漆表面仍然留下了损伤。
“我很担心继续放着不管，情况会不会越来越严重……”
我们非常理解客户的不安。
