Today’s Vehicle: Honda S660
The customer who visited us this time came from Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture. Their cherished vehicle was Honda’s lightweight sports car, the S660.
The S660 is an authentic mid-engine kei sports car developed by Honda. Production ended in 2022, making it a valuable model that can no longer be purchased new. Its compact body delivers genuine driving enjoyment, while the targa top allows the driver to experience open-air motoring. It is a celebrated model that captured the hearts of countless sports-car enthusiasts🏎️
The journey from Nasushiobara City to Kumagaya City takes approximately one and a half to two hours via routes such as the Tohoku Expressway and National Route 4. We sincerely appreciate the customer travelling across the prefectural border specifically to visit our shop.

Condition of the S660’s Body on Arrival
Countless water spots across the hood, roof, and entire trunk
Whitish, scale-like mineral water deposits
Overall loss of gloss and a dull appearance
The paintwork had completely lost its original brilliance
Another serious problem was a tear in the seat.
When we inspected the driver’s seat, we found a large tear in the seat cushion...
It had likely developed gradually through repeated entry and exit from the vehicle.
We could clearly feel how deeply the customer was concerned about the condition.

Why the Customer Chose Saitama Despite Living in Tochigi
“There are coating shops near me in Tochigi, but I heard that GARACORT BASE can also provide seat coating. I wanted both the body and the seat restored, so even though it was a little far, I decided to come here.”
We knew we had to live up to the customer’s expectations.
We made a firm decision: to restore this S660, both inside and out, to a condition even more beautiful than new.
All contamination, sand, and dust were removed from the body, which had been covered in water spots. Using pure water also helps prevent new water spots from forming🧽
≪Exterior≫ Step 2: Mineral Scale and Water Spot Removal
Next, we used a dedicated scale remover to eliminate the stubborn water spots.
Whitish, scale-like mineral deposits had become bonded across the entire body of the S660. These stubborn deposits could not be removed through ordinary washing, so we carefully treated them using dedicated chemicals and professional techniques.
We took our time, worked carefully, and refused to compromise until the scale had been completely removed from every panel🔍
≪Exterior≫ Step 3: Paint Correction
Once the mineral scale had been removed, we began the full paint-correction process.
Years of accumulated water spots had left fine surface irregularities and dullness in the paintwork. We carefully corrected these imperfections through polishing.

Heavy-Cut Polishing
We removed the marks left after scale removal, together with fine scratches.
Medium-Cut Polishing
We eliminated the marks created during the heavy-cut stage while refining and smoothing the paintwork.
Ultra-Fine Finishing Polish
This was the final finishing stage. Using an extremely fine polishing compound, we refined the surface into a mirror-like finish.
Although the S660 has a compact body, it also features many curved surfaces, so every area was polished with great care and attention💎
≪Exterior≫ Step 4: Degreasing
Once the polishing process was complete, we thoroughly degreased the entire body.
If even a small amount of polishing compound residue or oil remains, it can prevent the coating from bonding correctly. We therefore wiped every surface repeatedly using a dedicated degreasing agent.
≪Exterior≫ Step 5: Diamond Coating Application
We then moved on to the application of Diamond Coating!
Diamond Coating is the highest-grade coating offered by our shop. As its name suggests, it delivers diamond-like hardness and brilliance.
Features of Diamond Coating
🔹 Highest-Level Protective Hardness
It forms an exceptionally hard protective layer that helps protect the paintwork against scratches and contamination.
🔹 Exceptional Gloss and Depth
It creates such deep gloss that the body can appear almost liquid.
🔹 Excellent Water-Repellent Performance
Rainwater forms rounded beads and rolls away, helping reduce the formation of new water spots.
🔹 Long-Lasting Performance
With proper maintenance, its protective effects can last for three to five years or longer.
🔹 Protection Against Ultraviolet Exposure
It helps block ultraviolet rays and reduces deterioration of the paintwork.
We applied the coating carefully and evenly, one section at a time!
≪Interior≫ Step 6: Seat Repair
Alongside the exterior work, we also repaired the damaged seat.
If a torn seat is left untreated, the tear will continue to spread. However, because the S660 is no longer in production, obtaining a replacement factory seat can be difficult.
For this reason, our shop provides professional seat repair using specialized techniques.

Preparing the Torn Area
We arranged and treated the damaged fibers to prepare the area for repair.
Inserting Reinforcement Material
A dedicated reinforcement material was inserted behind the torn section.
Bonding with Specialized Resin
The damaged area was carefully bonded using a dedicated repair resin.
Reshaping the Surface
After bonding, we reshaped and smoothed the surface to match the original seat material.
Color Matching
We used dedicated dyes to match the repaired area precisely with the surrounding color.
Recreating the Texture
We recreated the original texture and feel of the seat material.
This process requires an extremely high level of technical skill. However, with extensive experience and proven expertise, our staff restored the seat so naturally that it appeared as though it had never been torn🪡
The customer also inspected the repair during the process and reacted with surprise:
“What!? I can’t even tell where it was torn... That’s incredible!”
≪Interior≫ Step 7: Thorough Seat Cleaning
Once the seat repair was complete, we thoroughly cleaned the entire seat.
Over many years of use, various types of contamination had accumulated in the material.
Perspiration and body oils
Dye transferred from clothing
Food and drink stains
Dust and sand
Oily residue
Using a dedicated seat cleaner and specialized brushes, we carefully cleaned the entire seat.
Because the dirty water was extracted during cleaning, the seat did not become excessively wet🧼
≪Interior≫ Step 8: Seat Coating
After the seat had been thoroughly cleaned, we applied a protective seat coating as the finishing treatment.

那須塩原市から熊谷市までは、東北自動車道や国道4号線を経由して約1時間半〜2時間ほどの道のり。県境を越えて、わざわざ当店にお越しいただいたことに、心から感謝いたします。

到着時のS660のボディの状態は
ボンネット、ルーフ、トランク全体に無数の水シミ
白くウロコ状になったスケール（水垢）

運転席のシートを確認すると、座面部分に大きな破れが...。

提到S660，它是本田引以为傲的真正中置发动机轻型跑车。该车型已于2022年停止生产，如今已经无法再购买全新车辆，是一款十分珍贵的车型。紧凑的车身中蕴含着纯粹的驾驶乐趣，同时通过Targa可拆卸车顶，还能够享受开放式驾驶体验。它是一款俘获了众多跑车爱好者心灵的经典车型🏎️

形成白色鳞片状的水垢及矿物质沉积
整个车身失去光泽，呈现出明显暗淡状态
车漆原本应有的亮丽光泽已经完全消失
另一个严重问题，是座椅出现破损。
检查驾驶席座椅后，我们发现座垫部位出现了较大的破口……
可能是在反复上下车的过程中，不知不觉逐渐破损的。
我们能够深切感受到客户对这个问题的烦恼。
