We determined that thorough surface preparation followed by GARACORT BASE coating installation would dramatically restore the vehicle’s appearance.
【Condition Before Installation】
We began by carefully inspecting the vehicle.
A significant amount of sand and dust had accumulated across the entire body of the Alphard.
The area around Honjo City is rich in nature, but this also means that a considerable amount of windblown sand and dust can settle on vehicles.
The contamination had accumulated particularly heavily on horizontal surfaces such as the roof, hood, and upper sections of the doors.
This indicated that the vehicle had not been washed for a considerable period.
Another major concern was the large number of fine scratches across the entire body😢
Whether they had been caused by an automatic car wash or by wiping the vehicle while sand and dust were still present, countless linear scratches covered the paintwork and made the entire body appear dull.
Under direct sunlight, the dullness was especially noticeable on the hood and door panels.

The positive point was that the paint itself had not deteriorated significantly.

【Pure-Water Hand Wash and Careful Surface Preparation】
We began with a pure-water hand wash.
At GARACORT BASE, we use pure water for hand washing as part of the surface preparation process before applying a car coating.
Why do we use pure water? Ordinary tap water contains minerals, and when those minerals dry on the vehicle, they can cause water spots.
Pure water contains almost no minerals, making water spots much less likely to form.
Because this is such an important stage before coating installation, we are especially particular about using pure water💧
We first used a pressure washer to blast away the sand and dust that had accumulated across the body.
This pre-wash is extremely important. If the vehicle is washed with a sponge while sand and dust remain on the surface, those particles can act like an abrasive and scratch the paintwork.
After thoroughly rinsing away the sand and dust, we covered the entire vehicle in snow foam☁️
The fine foam lifted contamination away from the surface so it could be removed gently.
We carefully washed the large body of the Alphard using a generous amount of foam.
Using water heated to approximately 40°C together with a dedicated car shampoo allowed us to remove firmly bonded contamination effectively♨️
【Removing Iron Contamination to Clean the Paintwork】
After washing, we used a dedicated iron remover to eliminate bonded iron particles from the body.
Areas such as Kumagaya, Fukaya, Hanazono, and Honjo are located near industrial zones, so iron particles can settle on vehicles without the owner noticing⚠️
When the iron remover was applied, it reacted with the particles and changed to a purple color🟣
If iron particles are left beneath the coating, they may eventually contribute to rust formation, so we removed them thoroughly.
【Removing Scratches and Creating a Mirror Finish Through Polishing】
This is where our professional skill becomes especially important💪
Using professional polishing machines and compounds, we carefully removed the fine scratches across the entire body.
The paintwork on the Toyota Alphard is relatively soft, so we checked the paint thickness and worked with the appropriate pressure and machine speed.
Removing too much material can damage the paint, while insufficient polishing leaves scratches behind.
Achieving the correct balance is essential.
We gradually changed between heavy-cut, medium-cut, and finishing compounds to refine the paintwork into a flawless mirror finish.
Watching the dull body gradually regain a deep gloss through polishing is impressive every time✨
The transformation of the hood and door panels was especially dramatic, making the vehicle look completely different before and after polishing.
The way the light reflected from the surface changed significantly🪞
【Degreasing and GARACORT BASE Coating Installation】
Once polishing was complete, we thoroughly degreased the vehicle.
If oils from the polishing compounds or other contamination remain on the surface, the coating may not bond correctly.
After completing the degreasing process, we began applying the GARACORT BASE coating💎
GARACORT BASE coating forms a hard 9H protective layer that provides long-term protection against scratches and contamination.
We carefully applied the coating using a dedicated applicator.
Applying the product evenly across the entire large body of the Alphard without leaving any uneven areas requires time and concentration.

【ご依頼内容】
本庄市からお越しいただいたお客様は、普段なかなか洗車の時間が取れず、気づいたらボディ全体がくすんでしまったとのことでした。
確認すると、30アルファードの堂々としたボディには砂埃が積もり、太陽光の下で見ると無数の細かいスクラッチがあり、本来の輝きが失われていました💦
でも、塗装自体はまだ健全な状態。しっかりと下地処理をしてガラベースコーティングを施工すれば、見違えるほど蘇ると判断しました。
【施工前の状態】
お車を詳しく確認していきます。
アルファードのボディ全体に、かなりの量の砂埃が付着していました。
本庄市周辺は自然豊かなエリアですが、その分、風で運ばれる砂埃も多いんですよね。
特にルーフやボンネット、ドアの上部など、水平面には砂埃が厚く堆積していました。
これは相当期間、洗車されていなかった証拠です。
さらに気になったのが、全体に入った細かいスクラッチでした😢
洗車機を使われたのか、あるいは砂埃がついたまま拭いてしまったのか、塗装面に無数の線傷が入っており、これが原因でボディ全体がくすんで見えていました。
太陽光の下で確認すると、特にボンネット、ドアパネルあたりのくすみが顕著。本来の深い色味が完全に失われていました。
ただ、良かったのは塗装自体の劣化は少ないこと。
研磨でしっかりとスクラッチを除去すれば、まだまだ美しさを取り戻せる状態でした💪

这些划痕可能来自自动洗车机，也可能是在车身仍然附着砂尘时直接擦拭造成的。车漆表面存在无数线状划痕，导致整个车身看起来暗淡无光。
在阳光下观察时，发动机盖及车门面板附近的暗淡尤其明显。
车漆原本深邃的颜色几乎已经完全无法展现。
值得庆幸的是，车漆本身的老化程度并不严重。
只要通过研磨认真去除这些划痕，车辆仍然可以充分恢复原本的美感💪
