【Customer Request】
The customer, who visited us from Omiya Ward, had just purchased a brand-new Tesla Model Y.
They contacted us saying, “This is my first time having a coating applied, so I would like to start with the entry-level coating and see how it performs. I also want to make only the hood black to create a two-tone color scheme.”
The Tesla Model Y had a red body color. By applying gloss-black PPF only to the hood, we could create a stylish two-tone appearance🖤
Because the vehicle had only recently been delivered, the paintwork was generally in good condition. However, we found a small number of fine scratches caused during transportation and pre-delivery storage.
We would protect the body with our entry-level coating while adding a distinctive appearance to the hood with color PPF💪
【Condition Before Installation】
We began by carefully inspecting the vehicle.
Although this was a brand-new Tesla Model Y, we found several fine scratches caused during storage and transportation before delivery.
Tesla paintwork is known to be relatively delicate. Fine marks can sometimes be caused by pre-delivery washing or friction from vehicle covers while the car is stored at the dealership.
The door panels in particular had fine linear scratches that were visible under direct sunlight.
Even a brand-new vehicle is not always in perfect condition😢
We also found a small amount of bonded iron contamination on the body.
Areas such as Fukaya, Kumagaya, and Hanazono are located near industrial zones, and iron particles can settle on new vehicles during transportation⚠️
The hood required especially careful surface preparation because it would later receive gloss-black PPF.
We began by thoroughly cleaning the vehicle with pure water before completing the entry-level coating and hood color PPF installation✨
【Pure-Water Hand Wash and Careful Surface Preparation】
We began with a pure-water hand wash.
At GARACORT BASE, we use pure water for hand washing as part of the surface preparation process for both car coatings and PPF installation.
Why do we use pure water? Ordinary tap water contains minerals, and when those minerals dry on the surface, they can cause water spots.
Pure water contains almost no minerals, making water spots much less likely to form.
Because this was a brand-new vehicle being prepared for both coating and PPF installation, we paid particular attention to using pure water💧
We first used a pressure washer to rinse contamination from the surface of the body.
Tesla paintwork is delicate, so a thorough pre-wash is especially important to minimize unnecessary contact.
After the pre-wash, we covered the entire vehicle in snow foam☁️
The fine foam lifted contamination away from the surface so it could be removed gently.
We carefully washed the flowing body lines of the Tesla Model Y using a generous amount of foam.
Using water heated to approximately 40°C together with a dedicated car shampoo allowed us to remove contamination effectively without damaging the new paintwork♨️
【Removing Iron Contamination to Clean the Paintwork】
After washing, we used a dedicated iron remover to eliminate bonded iron particles from the body.
Areas such as Kumagaya, Fukaya, and Hanazono are located near industrial zones, so even new vehicles may collect iron particles during transportation⚠️
When the iron remover was applied, it reacted with the particles and changed to a purple color🟣
Even a brand-new vehicle requires careful preparation.
If iron particles remain beneath the coating or PPF, they may eventually contribute to rust formation, so we removed them thoroughly.
The hood required especially complete decontamination because it would later receive color PPF.
【Degreasing and Entry-Level Coating Installation】
After the polishing process was complete, we thoroughly degreased the vehicle.
If oils from the polishing compounds or other contamination remain on the surface, the coating may not bond correctly.
Once degreasing was complete, we began applying the entry-level coating💎

We carefully applied the coating using a dedicated applicator.

After completing the body coating, we began installing color PPF on the hood🖤
For this vehicle, we used gloss-black PPF.
Adding a black hood to the red Tesla Model Y created a stylish two-tone color scheme✨
【Final Degreasing of the Hood】
Before applying the PPF, we thoroughly degreased the hood once again.
Any remaining oils or contamination could reduce the adhesion of the PPF, making this an especially important stage💧
Using a dedicated degreasing product, we prepared the hood surface thoroughly.
【Rough Cutting the Gloss-Black PPF】
We roughly cut the gloss-black PPF to match the shape of the hood✂️
The film was cut slightly larger than the hood of the Tesla Model Y to provide enough material for accurate positioning and installation.
Color PPF not only changes the appearance of the body, but also protects the hood from stone chips and scratches🛡️
【Careful Film Installation】
This is where a high level of technical skill becomes essential💪
We carefully applied the roughly cut gloss-black PPF to the hood.
First, we sprayed a dedicated installation solution onto both the hood surface and the PPF.
This solution allows the position of the film to be adjusted more easily💧
We placed the PPF onto the hood and carefully aligned it before beginning the final application.
The hood of the Tesla Model Y has several curved areas, so we carefully stretched and formed the film while preventing air from becoming trapped underneath🫧
Using a dedicated squeegee, we pushed air and moisture outward from the center.
Our goal was a flawless finish without a single visible air bubble✨
Because gloss-black PPF has a polished finish, it creates a deep and beautifully reflective black appearance🖤
【Finishing with the Half-Cut Technique】
After applying the PPF, we moved on to a process that requires advanced craftsmanship💪
We used a special technique known as a “half cut” to trim the film.
This advanced method involves cutting approximately 90% of the way through the thin film without allowing the blade to touch the painted surface of the hood✨
With ordinary cutting methods, there is a risk of the blade damaging the paintwork.
The half-cut technique allows us to remove only the excess film accurately without leaving any blade marks on the painted surface🎯
This process requires years of experience and extremely precise control, making it a task that can only be performed properly by a highly skilled installer👨🔧
【Edge Finishing and Final Inspection】
After removing the excess film with the half-cut technique, we carefully finished the edges.
The film was firmly bonded all the way to the edges of the hood to help prevent lifting💪
During the final inspection, we carefully checked for air bubbles, film adhesion, and the quality of the edge finishing🔍
The gloss-black PPF achieved a natural appearance, almost as if the vehicle had been delivered with a factory two-tone color scheme🖤

Once the work was complete, we showed the finished vehicle to the customer.

今回は埼玉県さいたま市大宮区からご来店いただいた新車テスラ Model Yのお試しコーティング＋ボンネットカラーPPF施工をご紹介します✨
【ご依頼内容】
大宮区からお越しいただいたお客様は、新車でテスラ Model Yを購入されたばかり。
「コーティングは初めてなので、まずはお試しコーティングで様子を見たい。それと、ボンネットだけ黒くしてツートンカラーにしたいんです」とのことでご来店いただきました。
テスラ Model Yは赤のボディカラー。これにボンネットだけグロスブラックのPPFを施工することで、スタイリッシュなツートンカラーが実現できます🖤
確認すると、納車されて間もないため塗装の状態は良好でしたが、新車特有の保管傷や輸送時についた細かいスクラッチが若干確認できました。
これからお試しコーティングでしっかり保護し、ボンネットにはカラーPPFで個性を演出していきます💪
【施工前の状態】
お車を詳しく確認していきます。
新車のテスラ Model Yですが、納車前の保管や輸送の過程で、細かいスクラッチがいくつか確認できました。
テスラは塗装が比較的デリケートなことで知られており、ディーラーで保管されている間に、納車前洗車やカバーの擦れなどで、微細な傷がついてしまうことがあるんです。
特に、ドアパネルは太陽光を当てると見える程度の細かい線傷がありました。
新車とはいえ、完璧な状態ではないんですよね😢
また、ボディには若干の鉄粉も付着していました。
深谷・熊谷・花園エリアなど埼玉県内は工業地帯も近く、新車でも輸送中に鉄粉が付着することがあるんです⚠️
ボンネットは、これからグロスブラックのPPFを施工するため、特に丁寧に下地処理を行う必要があります。
これから純水洗浄でしっかり汚れを落とし、お試しコーティングとボンネットカラーPPFで完璧に仕上げていきます✨
【純水手洗い洗車と丁寧な下地処理】
まず取りかかったのが、純水手洗い洗車です。
GARACORT BASEでは、カーコーティングとPPF施工の下地処理として純水を使った手洗い洗車を行っています。
なぜ純水なのか？通常の水道水にはミネラル分が含まれていて、これが乾くと水シミの原因になるんです。
でも純水ならミネラル分がほぼゼロなので、水シミができにくい。
新車のコーティング前、そしてPPF施工前だからこそ、純水にこだわっています💧
まずは高圧洗浄機で、ボディ表面の汚れを一気に洗い流します。
テスラは塗装がデリケートなので、余計な摩擦を避けるためにも、予洗いは特に重要です。
予洗いの後は、スノーフォームで車全体を泡で包みます☁️
きめ細かい泡が汚れを浮き上がらせ、優しく除去していきます。
テスラ Model Yの流麗なボディを、たっぷりの泡で優しく洗い上げていく感じです。
約40度のお湯と専用のカーシャンプーを使うことで、汚れを効果的に落としながら、新車の塗装面を傷つけません♨️
【鉄粉除去で塗装面をクリーンに】
洗浄後は、専用の鉄粉除去剤を使ってボディに付着した鉄粉を除去します。
熊谷・深谷・花園エリアなど埼玉県内は工業地帯も近く、新車でも輸送中に鉄粉が付着していることがあるんです⚠️
鉄粉除去剤を塗布すると、鉄粉に反応して紫色に変色していきます🟣
新車だからといって油断はできません。
この鉄粉を残したままコーティングやPPFを施工すると、後々サビの原因になってしまうので、しっかりと除去していきます。
特にボンネットは、この後カラーPPFを施工するため、完璧に鉄粉を除去する必要があります。
【脱脂処理とお試しコーティング施工】
研磨が完了したら、徹底的な脱脂処理を行います。
研磨剤の油分や汚れを完全に除去しないと、コーティングの密着性が落ちてしまいます。
脱脂完了後、いよいよお試しコーティングの施工です💎

【ボンネットの最終脱脂】
PPFを貼る前に、ボンネットを再度徹底的に脱脂します。
油分や汚れが残っているとPPFの密着性が低下してしまうため、この工程は特に重要です💧
専用の脱脂剤でボンネット表面を完璧に仕上げます。
【グロスブラックPPFの大まかなカット】
ボンネットの形状に合わせて、グロスブラックのPPFを大まかにカットします✂️
テスラ Model Yのボンネットより一回り大きめにカットし、施工しやすいサイズにします。
カラーPPFは、ボディカラーを変更できるだけでなく、飛び石や傷からボンネットを保護する役割もあります🛡️
【丁寧な貼り付け作業】
ここからが技術が必要な工程です💪
大まかにカットしたグロスブラックPPFをボンネットに丁寧に貼り付けていきます。
まず、ボンネット表面とPPFに専用の施工液をスプレーします。
この液体により、フィルムの位置調整がしやすくなります💧
PPFをボンネットに乗せ、位置を確認しながら慎重に貼り付けていきます。
テスラ Model Yのボンネットは曲面が多いため、フィルムを伸ばしながら、空気が入らないよう丁寧に施工します🫧
専用のスキージーで、中心から外側に向かって空気と水分を押し出していきます。
気泡一つ残さない完璧な仕上がりを目指します✨
グロスブラックのPPFは艶がある仕上がりなので、光沢感のある美しい黒色になります🖤
【ハーフカット技術で仕上げ】
PPFを貼り付けた後は、当店の熟練技術が光る工程です💪
「ハーフカット」という特殊な技術を使用してフィルムをカットします。
これは、カッターの刃をボンネットの塗装面には当てず、薄いフィルムの9割程度だけを切るという高度な技術です✨
通常のカット方法では、カッターで塗装面まで傷つけてしまうリスクがありますが、ハーフカット技術により、塗装を一切傷つけることなく、余分なフィルムだけを正確に取り除くことができます🎯
この技術は長年の経験と繊細な感覚が必要で、熟練の職人だけができる作業です👨🔧
【エッジ処理と最終確認】
ハーフカットで余分なフィルムを取り除いた後は、エッジ部分の処理を行います。
ボンネットの端までしっかりとフィルムを密着させ、剥がれにくくします💪
最終確認では、気泡の有無、フィルムの密着度、エッジの仕上がりなど、細部まで入念にチェックします🔍
グロスブラックのPPFが、まるで純正のツートンカラーのように自然に仕上がりました🖤

The film was cut slightly larger than the hood of the Tesla Model Y to provide enough material for accurate positioning and installation.

【Careful Film Installation】

We carefully applied the roughly cut gloss-black PPF to the hood.
First, we sprayed a dedicated installation solution onto both the hood surface and the PPF.
This solution allows the position of the film to be adjusted more easily💧
We placed the PPF onto the hood and carefully aligned it before beginning the final application.
The hood of the Tesla Model Y has several curved areas, so we carefully stretched and formed the film while preventing air from becoming trapped underneath🫧
Using a dedicated squeegee, we pushed air and moisture outward from the center.
Our goal was a flawless finish without a single visible air bubble✨
Because gloss-black PPF has a polished finish, it creates a deep and beautifully reflective black appearance🖤
【Finishing with the Half-Cut Technique】
After applying the PPF, we moved on to a process that requires advanced craftsmanship💪
We used a special technique known as a “half cut” to trim the film.
This advanced method involves cutting approximately 90% of the way through the thin film without allowing the blade to touch the painted surface of the hood✨
With ordinary cutting methods, there is a risk of the blade damaging the paintwork.
The half-cut technique allows us to remove only the excess film accurately without leaving any blade marks on the painted surface🎯
This process requires years of experience and extremely precise control, making it a task that can only be performed properly by a highly skilled installer👨🔧
【Edge Finishing and Final Inspection】
After removing the excess film with the half-cut technique, we carefully finished the edges.
The film was firmly bonded all the way to the edges of the hood to help prevent lifting💪
During the final inspection, we carefully checked for air bubbles, film adhesion, and the quality of the edge finishing🔍
The gloss-black PPF achieved a natural appearance, almost as if the vehicle had been delivered with a factory two-tone color scheme🖤

由于车辆刚刚交付，车漆整体状态良好，不过仍然可以看到少量新车存放及运输过程中产生的细小划痕。

【施工前的车辆状态】
我们首先对车辆进行了细致检查。
虽然是一辆全新的特斯拉Model Y，但在交付前的存放及运输过程中，仍然产生了几处细小划痕。
特斯拉车漆通常较为细腻。在经销商存放期间，交付前洗车或车罩摩擦等情况，都可能使车漆表面出现轻微划痕。
特别是车门面板，在阳光照射下可以看到一些细小线状划痕。
即使是全新车辆，也不一定处于完全完美的状态😢
车身还附着了少量铁粉。
深谷、熊谷及花园等埼玉县内地区距离工业区较近，即使是新车，也可能在运输途中附着铁粉⚠️
由于发动机盖接下来需要施工亮光黑色PPF，因此必须进行格外细致的基础处理。
接下来，我们会使用纯水彻底清洁车辆，再通过入门体验镀膜及发动机盖彩色PPF完成理想效果✨
【纯水手工洗车与细致基础处理】
首先进行的是纯水手工洗车。
GARACORT BASE在汽车镀膜及PPF施工的基础处理过程中，会使用纯水进行手工洗车。
为什么要使用纯水？普通自来水中含有矿物质，水分干燥后，这些矿物质可能会形成水渍。
纯水几乎不含矿物质，因此不容易产生水渍。
正因为这是新车镀膜及PPF施工前的清洁，我们才会格外坚持使用纯水💧
首先使用高压清洗机，将车身表面的污渍充分冲洗干净。
特斯拉车漆较为细腻，为了减少不必要的摩擦，充分预洗尤其重要。
预洗完成后，我们会使用雪花泡沫覆盖整辆车☁️
细腻的泡沫可以将污渍从表面浮起，并以温和的方式将其去除。
我们会使用充足的泡沫，认真清洗特斯拉Model Y流畅的车身。
通过使用约40°C的温水及专用汽车清洁剂，可以在有效去除污渍的同时，避免损伤新车车漆♨️
【去除铁粉，使车漆表面恢复干净】
清洗完成后，我们使用专用铁粉去除剂，清除附着在车身上的铁粉。
熊谷、深谷及花园等埼玉县内地区距离工业区较近，即使是新车，也可能在运输过程中附着铁粉⚠️
喷涂铁粉去除剂后，产品会与铁粉发生反应，并逐渐变成紫色🟣
即使是新车也不能掉以轻心。
如果在铁粉仍然残留的情况下施工镀膜或PPF，今后可能会形成锈蚀，因此必须将其彻底去除。
特别是发动机盖之后需要施工彩色PPF，所以必须完整清除铁粉。
【脱脂处理与入门体验镀膜施工】
研磨完成后，我们会进行彻底脱脂。
如果没有完全去除研磨剂中的油分及其他污渍，镀膜产品的附着力就会下降。
完成脱脂后，我们正式开始施工入门体验镀膜💎
入门体验镀膜非常适合第一次进行汽车镀膜的客户，在提供可靠保护性能的同时，价格也更加容易接受。
我们使用专用涂布工具，仔细涂抹镀膜产品。

接下来，我们会根据发动机盖的形状对亮光黑色PPF进行初步裁切✂️
薄膜会裁得比特斯拉Model Y的发动机盖稍大一些，以便施工过程中进行准确的位置调整。

【细致贴膜施工】
接下来进入非常考验技术的施工步骤💪
我们会将初步裁切好的亮光黑色PPF仔细贴合在发动机盖表面。
首先，在发动机盖及PPF表面喷洒专用施工液。
施工液可以让薄膜在贴合过程中更容易进行位置调整💧
将PPF放置在发动机盖表面后，我们会一边确认位置，一边谨慎开始贴合。
特斯拉Model Y的发动机盖拥有较多曲面，因此需要一边适度拉伸并调整薄膜，一边避免内部残留空气🫧
使用专用刮板，从中心向外侧逐渐排出空气及水分。
我们会以不残留任何明显气泡的理想完成效果为目标✨
亮光黑色PPF采用具有光泽的表面效果，因此可以呈现出深邃且漂亮的黑色🖤
【使用半切技术完成裁切】
PPF贴合完成后，接下来就是能够展现本店专业技术的施工步骤💪
我们会使用一种名为“半切”的特殊技术裁切薄膜。
这是一项让刀片不接触发动机盖车漆，只切开薄膜约九成厚度的高级技术✨
使用普通裁切方法时，刀片可能会直接划伤车漆。
