Proper maintenance is required after coating installation, but it is also possible that the customer did not receive enough explanation about the correct aftercare.

While understanding the customer’s feelings, our staff carefully explained the vehicle’s condition.

The first stage is a thorough pure-water hand wash.
“A car wash is the same no matter where you have it done, right?”
Some people may think this way. However, this is one of the areas where our shop refuses to compromise.

🔹 Pure Water
We use pure water with the minerals found in tap water removed, helping prevent new water spots from forming.
🔹 Hand Washing
Detailed areas that machines cannot reach are carefully cleaned by hand.
🔹 Two-Stage Washing
After removing the main contamination, we carefully wash the vehicle a second time.
Around the door handles, the bases of the side mirrors, the wheel arches, gaps around the hood... We carefully clean every commonly overlooked area while checking each section individually.
Although the GLC appeared clean on the surface, a considerable amount of fine contamination emerged once we began washing it🧽
Step 2: Thorough Mineral Scale Removal
After washing, we moved on to removing mineral scale.
Upon closer inspection, a light layer of scale had become bonded across the entire body of this GLC. This was one of the main reasons the previous coating had been unable to deliver its intended performance.
Mineral scale consists of minerals contained in rainwater or tap water that crystallize on the body surface. If coating is applied over these deposits, adhesion problems can occur, preventing the product from performing correctly.
At our shop, we use a dedicated scale remover to carefully eliminate mineral deposits from the entire body.

Selecting suitable chemicals that do not place unnecessary stress on the body
Working with consistent and controlled pressure
Completely removing all remaining residue
This process alone requires a considerable amount of time and effort. However, compromising at this stage would only lead to the same result as the previous installation.
We never cut corners🔍
Step 3: Thorough Degreasing
After removing the mineral scale, we carried out the degreasing process.
The body surface can be contaminated by oils from exhaust gases, residue originating from road asphalt, and old wax components. Unless these substances are completely removed, the coating cannot bond correctly.
Using a dedicated degreasing agent, we carefully treated the entire body.
At this stage, we also invited the customer to inspect the progress.
“I’ve never had anyone work on my vehicle this carefully before...”
Hearing those words from the customer was extremely encouraging for our team😊
Step 4: Refining the Paintwork with Light Polishing
As the final stage of surface preparation, we carried out light polishing.
The paintwork on a premium vehicle such as a Mercedes-Benz is exceptionally high quality, but fine scratches and dullness can still accumulate through years of use. In this case, the effects of the previous coating also meant that the surface needed to be refined.
Using a fine polishing compound, we corrected only the minimum amount necessary.

After applying the coating, we allowed sufficient time for it to cure.

At our shop, we carefully follow the curing time recommended by the manufacturer and never rush the process.
Once curing was complete, we performed the final inspection.

We inspected every detail carefully and returned the vehicle to the customer only after ensuring the best possible result✨
Once all the work was complete, it was time to return the vehicle to the customer.

不过，本次客户带着一个严重的烦恼来到本店。

从专业角度观察后，发现了几个可能存在的问题。
推测原因
基础处理不充分
想要最大限度发挥镀膜效果，彻底完成基础处理必不可少。不过，从车辆状态来看，车身表面似乎仍残留旧污渍及水垢，却直接在其上方施工了镀膜。
镀膜产品附着不良
如果基础处理不充分，镀膜产品就无法牢固附着在车漆表面，容易过早老化。
施工后的维护说明不足
完成镀膜后需要进行正确维护，但也有可能是其他店铺没有向客户充分说明维护方法。
“明明是一辆这么好的豪华车型，保持这种状态实在太可惜了……”
