At first, the vehicle did not feel noticeably different. However, it gradually began to hesitate while driving and eventually stalled, leaving it unable to continue running.
We immediately performed a fault diagnosis using a dedicated diagnostic scanner.
The onboard diagnostic system showed the following fault code:
3FF0 Air Mass Measurement Fault
This fault code may appear when the intake air volume cannot be measured correctly or when contamination has accumulated in the intake or EGR system.
To identify the exact cause, we carried out a detailed inspection of each related component🔍
【Inspection and Diagnosis】
As we continued the diagnosis, we discovered a large amount of carbon buildup throughout the EGR system and intake passages.
Diesel engines use an EGR system that recirculates part of the exhaust gas. Over a long period of use, carbon deposits can easily accumulate inside the system.
This contamination can prevent the intake air volume from being controlled correctly and is a common cause of the engine warning light coming on.
In this case, we determined that the problem originated in the EGR and intake systems, so we proceeded with disassembly and cleaning💪
【EGR Valve Disassembly and Cleaning】
We began by removing the EGR valve.
A large amount of carbon had accumulated inside the removed EGR valve💦
In this condition, the valve could not move properly or deliver its intended performance.
Using a dedicated cleaning solution, we carefully removed the carbon deposits from deep inside the component.
We also thoroughly cleaned the moving parts until they operated smoothly again✨
【EGR Cooler Disassembly and Cleaning】
Next, we removed the EGR cooler.
A significant amount of carbon originating from the exhaust gas had also accumulated inside the EGR cooler.
If the internal passages become blocked, exhaust gas flow is restricted, which can cause poor engine performance and warning lights.
We thoroughly cleaned the inside of the cooler and restored the original exhaust gas passages🧼
【Intake Manifold Disassembly and Cleaning】
We then removed the intake manifold.
Carbon had accumulated throughout the intake passages and was restricting the flow of air into the engine.
We carefully cleaned the inside of the intake manifold to improve intake efficiency.
Carbon deposits were removed even from the narrow internal passages, restoring the system’s original intake performance✨
【Reassembly and Final Inspection】
After cleaning each component, we carefully reassembled the system.
Once everything had been reinstalled, we connected the diagnostic scanner again and cleared the stored fault code.
We started the engine and checked the live data from each related system.
A road test was also carried out to confirm smooth engine response, the absence of unusual noises, and that the warning light did not come on again🔍
The diagnostic readings returned to their normal ranges, and the 3FF0 air mass measurement fault was successfully resolved✨
【Result After Repair】
After the repair was completed, the customer also took the vehicle for a test drive.

今回はMINI クロスオーバー R60のエンジンチェックランプ点灯修理をご紹介します✨
【ご依頼内容】
お客様より「エンジンチェックランプが点灯してしまったので診てほしい」とのことでご来店いただきました。
最初は特に違和感はなかったが、だんだん息継ぎが発生し、最終的にはエンストしてしまい、走行不能に。
早速、専用診断機にて故障診断を実施しました。
自己診断では
3FF0 エアマス測定異常
の故障コードを確認しました。
この故障コードは、吸入空気量が正常に測定できていない場合や、吸気系・EGR系統の汚れなどが原因となるケースがあります。
原因を特定するため、各部を詳しく点検していきます🔍
【点検・診断】
診断を進めると、EGR系統と吸気経路に大量のカーボンが蓄積していることが判明しました。
ディーゼルエンジンでは排気ガスを再循環させるEGRシステムを採用しているため、長期間使用するとカーボンが蓄積しやすくなります。
この汚れが原因で吸気量が正常に制御できず、エンジンチェックランプ点灯につながるケースは少なくありません。
今回は原因がEGR・吸気系統と判断し、分解清掃を行うことになりました💪
【EGRバルブ分解清掃】
まずはEGRバルブを取り外します。
取り外したEGRバルブ内部には大量のカーボンが堆積していました💦
この状態ではバルブの動きが悪くなり、本来の性能を発揮できません。
専用洗浄剤を使用し、内部まで丁寧にカーボンを除去していきます。
可動部もスムーズに動作する状態までしっかり清掃しました✨
【EGRクーラー分解清掃】
続いてEGRクーラーも取り外していきます。
EGRクーラー内部にも排気ガス由来のカーボンが大量に蓄積していました。
詰まりが発生すると排気ガスの流れが悪くなり、不調や警告灯点灯の原因になります。
内部までしっかり洗浄を行い、本来の通路を回復させていきます🧼
【インテークマニホールド分解清掃】
続いてインテークマニホールドを取り外します。
吸気経路にもカーボンが堆積し、空気の流れを妨げていました。
インテークマニホールド内部を丁寧に洗浄し、吸気効率を改善していきます。
細かな通路までカーボンを除去し、本来の吸気性能を取り戻しました✨
【組み付け・最終点検】
各部の清掃が完了した後は、慎重に組み付けを行います。
組み付け後は再度診断機を使用し、故障コードをリセット。
エンジンを始動し、各部のデータを確認していきます。
試運転も実施し、エンジンの吹け上がりや異音、警告灯の再点灯がないことを確認しました🔍
診断結果も正常値となり、3FF0 エアマス測定異常は無事改善しました✨
【施工後の仕上がり】
修理完了後、お客様にも試運転していただきました。
「エンジンの吹け上がりも良くなって安心しました！」と大変喜んでいただけました😊

本次检查后，我们判断故障原因来自EGR及进气系统，因此决定拆卸相关部件并进行彻底清洗💪
【EGR阀拆卸清洗】
首先，我们拆下了EGR阀。
拆下后的EGR阀内部堆积了大量积碳💦
在这种状态下，阀门动作会受到影响，无法正常发挥原有性能。
我们使用专用清洗剂，对EGR阀内部的积碳进行了细致清除。
同时对活动部件进行了彻底清洗，使其恢复到能够顺畅工作的状态✨
【EGR冷却器拆卸清洗】
接下来，我们拆下EGR冷却器。
EGR冷却器内部同样积累了大量由废气产生的积碳。
一旦内部通道发生堵塞，废气流动就会受到影响，并可能引起发动机运转异常或故障灯亮起。
我们对冷却器内部进行了彻底清洗，使原本的废气通道恢复畅通🧼
【进气歧管拆卸清洗】
随后，我们拆下了进气歧管。
进气通道内部同样堆积了大量积碳，已经对空气流动造成阻碍。
我们对进气歧管内部进行了细致清洗，以改善发动机的进气效率。
包括内部狭窄通道在内的积碳均被彻底去除，使进气系统恢复原有性能✨
【组装及最终检查】
所有部件清洗完成后，我们开始谨慎地进行重新组装。
完成组装后，再次连接诊断设备并清除储存的故障代码。
随后启动发动机，对各系统的实时数据进行确认。
我们还进行了道路试车，确认发动机转速提升顺畅、没有异常声音，并且故障灯没有再次亮起🔍
最终诊断数据恢复正常，3FF0空气质量流量测量异常故障顺利得到解决✨
【维修完成后的状态】
维修完成后，客户也亲自进行了试车。
